Advantages Of Solar Lanterns

We mentioned in a previous post that solar wall lanterns make excellent choices when designing a lightscape in your backyard. These outdoor solar lights provide the same light you are looking for from your other outdoor lighting choices but they have distinct advantages over their wired cousins.

Solar Wall Lanterns Use No Electricity

That’s right. The whole point of a solar lantern is so that you will save money on electricity while still lighting the spaces you need to illuminate. The solar lanterns will need to have roughly 8 hours of direct sunlight in order to work at peak power. But if they do get this sunlight, then they will have up to 15 hours of illumination to provide for you and your guests. What a great way to save money and still get the experience you desire.

Solar Lanterns Can Be Placed Anywhere

As long as the solar lantern gets enough sunlight during the day it will still work at night. So, with this in mind, the lantern can be placed anywhere you need it. This eliminates having to run electrical wires to your lanterns and allows you to expand the range of the lanterns from the house. To this end they can even be used in your garden. In fact, solar garden lights are very popular types of outdoor lanterns

Solar Wall Lanterns Are Better For The Environment

Think Globally, Act Locally is a mantra of environmental groups. With Global Climate change a concern for many people, the carbon emissions needed to run the solar lantern is nil. This means when you use them, you can be sure that you are doing your part locally to possibly alleviate a global problem.

Whether its better for your landscape design, your wallet or Planet Earth, solar wall lanterns offer an attractive option for your lightscape’s outdoor lighting needs.
